Hi Fire and Ice,
In response to the foolish girlfriend upset about her boyfriend's child, I'm that mother who at times sends my child to her dad without looking like a polished princess. Why? Because I take (good!) full care of her every day except for the one day a week her dad has her and its really not much for him to take a brush to her hair for that one day. Fathers expect full rights to their children but not full responsibility. Also you said the dad should talk to the mother about respecting his personal time but personal time is dead and gone after you have kids. Fathers should be expected to step up for their children 7 days a week just as mothers are.

I agree with you on many points that you have raised.........A father NOT just a mother needs to also step up to the plate...However, many men have their priorities mixed up, not ALL men though....I agree that she is very foolish and also very immature....I only hope that the tables DO NOT turn on her oneday...but as the saying goes Karma is a bi&*h!!!!!

While I agree with you for the most part, I am not with you when you talk about the personal time aspect. While BOTH parents should be willing to step up to the plate 24/7 I do not think it is right when one parent thinks they can just dump the child on the other because they feel like it. People need to realise that you get more accomplished by working together than trying to work against each other.
